Featured Books
Which Way is Freedom Now
The first half of the book “Which Way is Freedom Now” is the story of Williams’ formative years, growing up in a segregated society. He shares inspiring and sometimes unbelievable experiences, such as how he chose his own name and how a childhood friendship grew into a lifelong partnership of love and faith. These experiences are filled with moments of foresight, including his vision of America’s first Black President years before it became a reality.
Cafeteria Poetry
The book title “Cafeteria Poetry” was chosen because all of this material was written in a local cafeteria. Many of the poems in this volume were first written when Linwood was a ninth grader attending Southern Nash Senior High School in Baily North Carolina. The original drafts were lost over the years, but the contents remained with Linwood forever. They were simply recreated for this book. Each poem is an original, and full of wisdom and curiosity.
