Linwood J. Williams is a native of Nash County North Carolina. He and his wife Betty recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. They are the parents of four grown children, and eight grandchildren. Williams comes from a long list of men who served this country in the military. His father, uncles, brothers, and in-laws, served in the Army, Air Force Navy and Marians Corps. Much of his professional career consist of law enforcement as a Rocky Mount police officer, and in mental health where he worked as a prevention specialist.
