Wind Gust Upon My Face

Today I felt a warm wind gust
Splash upon my face
Today I’ll need peace and calm
Before I began the race

Like a child I often wonder
Where I’m supposed to be
For this day is new and like no other
So I’ll bow on bending knee

I’ll lift my voice in solemn prayer
And seek my master’s face
I’ll ask for strength, love and wisdom
I’ll ask him for his grace

I’ll tell him there that I have sinned
And fallen short some how
I’ll ask for guidance and for my life
I’ll ask for peace right now

And then I’ll go on my way
With a steady pace
But not before I feel his presence
Like a wind gust upon my face
